Privacy Policy

Who we are

SimpleCalc.co is a free online calculator platform. We provide finance, health, date, and maths calculators with no sign-up required.

What we collect

• Account data - if you create an account: your email address only. We use magic link authentication (no passwords stored).
• Calculation data - if logged in, your saved calculations are stored so you can access them later.
• Usage data - pages visited and calculators used, collected via PostHog to help us improve the site. PostHog data is processed in the EU.
• Email leads - if you voluntarily provide your email for calculator results delivery.

How we use it

• To provide calculator functionality and save your calculations.
• To send you calculation results by email (only when you request it).
• To understand which calculators are most popular and improve the site.

Who we share it with

• PostHog (EU-hosted) - website analytics.
• Sentry - error tracking to fix technical issues.
• Resend - transactional email delivery (magic links, calculation results).

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers.

Cookies

If you say OK to cookies, we use PostHog analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our calculators. These cookies do not identify you personally. You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner or by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

Counting visits without cookies

If you have not said OK to cookies, we still count the pages you view, but without cookies: nothing is stored on your device. PostHog (EU-hosted) works out a visitor count from your IP address and browser details, mixed with a random value that changes every day, and does not keep your IP address with these visits. We use this only for statistics about how the site is used, so we can improve it. UK law allows this kind of counting without asking first, as long as we tell you and you can easily say no.

Data retention

Account data and saved calculations are retained until you delete your account. Analytics data is retained for 12 months (PostHog). Email leads are retained for 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account from the settings page, or contact us at [email protected].
